Season Seats and Group Sales Account Executive - Augusta GreenJackets (North Augusta, SC)

Position Overview:

The Account Executive’s main responsibility is to produce ticket revenue by developing and maintaining season and group ticket accounts. The AE will sell new season seat and group accounts to decision makers within businesses and non-profit organizations. The AE will have a responsibility  to sell new season seat accounts through outside sales appointments with businesses, and over the phone sales to local residences. 

 

Essential Job Functions:

 

  • Meet all sales goals assigned.

  • Set appointments over the phone with decision-makers, consistently meeting the weekly goals for sales appointments.

  • Master all sales presentations (taught in sales training), and deliver it in front of company decision-makers, tailoring packages according to each company's needs.

  • Handle objections in an effort to bring in new season seat/group accounts.

  • Develop and maintain a database of potential group and season-seat customers.

  • Contact group leaders through the database and through new leads, particularly after a direct mail piece is released, to bring in new sales.

Ticket Sales Account Executive
Start Date: January 2018

This position will work under and report to: Director of Ticket Sales

Responsibilities:
• Contribute to the team growth in season ticket, partial season ticket and group ticket revenue
• Prospecting new customers, and maintaining solid relationships with current clients for renewal sales
• Meeting and exceeding weekly and seasonal sales targets
• Efficiently cold calling new potential prospects and consistently converting new prospects into clients
• Providing quality, professional customer service to new and existing accounts

The Kannapolis Intimidators are a Single-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox and member of the South Atlantic League.  The Intimidators are entering an exciting time with the rapid growth happening in the greater Charlotte area and a new Stadium being planned for 2020.  And now the team is looking to assemble a front office that is progressive, and driven to take the Intimidators to the next level while establishing the team as a model franchise for the present and future of Minor League Baseball.  The Group Ticket Sales Manager position will be an instrumental piece of our future and the culture we are seeking to build.   Candidates must have strong leadership skills, high character, good salesmanship, and progressive mindset. 

Position Summary

The Group Ticket Sales Manager will drive revenue and assist with achieving overall sales and attendance goals of the Intimidators by managing group ticket sales efforts. Work closely with top management in developing programs and revenue generating strategies to increase group sales in the short term and long term as we build towards the new Stadium.  Emphasis will also include high standard of customer service.  Lastly, it will be important that the individual work well collaboratively with all members of the Kannapolis Intimidators organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute group sales and prospecting strategies to maximize revenue generation from the sale of Intimidators ticket products, with a primary focus on selling group ticket products and experiences.
  • Responsible for generating maximum group sales revenue for the team.
  • Lead by example through personal sales efforts via research, sales calls, appointments and client referrals. This includes daily phone calls and setting up face-to-face meeting with current and prospective clients.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Communications, Season Ticket Sales, and Sponsorship Departments to develop theme nights and specific events to maximize group sales.
  • Process all group and premium ticket orders via ticketing system.
  • Provide a high level of customer service and hospitality to all customers and public.
  • Maintain group sales inventory.
  • Assist in development of group ticket inventory and philosophical approaches to ticket revenue with the new Stadium. 
  • Coordinate with Food & Beverage manager for all hospitality needs. 
  • Verify that all hospitality areas are set up in advance of gates opening.
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly, and annual ticket reports and goals in a timely fashion.
  • Generate strategies to maintain and cultivate niche groups within the market, including youth sports, schools, community organizations and other special focuses.
  • Assist with CRM database management, its integration with sales efforts, and growth initiatives. 
  • Attend business networking events throughout the community.
  • All other duties as assigned by the President/GM.

Required Skills/Knowledge

  • 1-2 years of sales experience, preferably in the sports industry. 
  • Bias towards ticket revenue growth and embrace active participation in the sales process.
  • Outstanding communication, writing, and presentation skills.

Duties & Responsibilities:

·         Design and layout a wide variety of print material such as newspaper advertisements, billboards, social media content, flyers, brochures, posters, postcards, direct mailers and invitations.

·         Design and illustrate graphic materials including logos, signage and website images.

·         Work on the promo editor and design graphics for the Power’s webpage.

·         Help create, write and/or produce team marketing e-mail blasts and sales collateral.

·         Field phone calls and answer everyday questions.
