Summary:
Join our team as a Sales & Marketing intern for the Augusta GreenJackets, where we are Building Excellence, One Player at a Time.
The Sales & Marketing Intern’s main responsibility is to learn and provide support in sales-related areas of the business.
Responsibilities:
As our Sales & Marketing Intern you will:
Assist with a variety of ticket department duties, including processing, mailing, data entry, etc.
Processing incoming telephone ticket orders
Handling cash, checks, and credit cards
Assist on additional projects as necessary
Gain valuable experience in the baseball industry, with a first-class organization. Full training is provided and you'll have the opportunity to work closely with all members of the GreenJackets front office.
Qualifications:
Required:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, ability to work well with others and take initiative
Preferred:
The ability to work at least 20 hours per week during the school year

• Organization of Group Sales items (i.e. tickets, wristbands, Babe’s Bucks, etc.) for Group pick-up
• Manage group sales database and other data collection systems
• Prepare ballpark for Events; tasks including: Cleaning and Arranging tables and chairs for picnics, Organization of Suite and Party Deck, Set-up for Special Events
• Facilitate Group Outings (Birthday Parties, Picnics, Future Hoppers), working with fans to provide an enjoyable experience

• Creates and assists in distribution of nightly game recaps

• Prepares, cleans and organizes the Press Box prior to each game to best take care of our press in attendance
• Prepares daily game notes, clubhouse stats, and updates Stat Boards pre-game daily
• Newsletter Email Blast creation and database maintenance
• Working with production booth to prepare things prior to and during game time
• Catalogue newspaper clippings; scan and file them accordingly each day
• Maintain and organize all pictures taken by either staff or hired photographer
• Assists in departmental brainstorming, problem solving, project planning and the development and execution of departmental goals and objectives

Concessions Assistant
REQUIREMENTS:

Summary: Looking to jump-start your sports career?
The Lexington Legends seek part-time Inside Sales Interns to create and generate new business and revenue to the organization by selling various ticket plans to area businesses and individuals in Central Kentucky.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Generate revenue through cold calls to area companies to set up appointments to sell Legends Full and Partial Season Tickets, and Group Ticket Packages

Spring/Summer 2010 General Intern - The Asheville Tourists (Asheville, NC)
Description/Responsibilities: The General Intern will place a large emphasis on sales while rotating through the following three positions: Marketing and Merchandise, Box Office, and Food and Beverage.
Marketing and Merchandise Responsibilities:
• Assist with sending out weekly job orders
• Assist with creating content and updating website
• Assist with updating daily game day script
• Put together game day prize box
• Create group list and slide for game days
• Assist with putting together homestand schedule for weekly meeting
• Assist with setting up the concourse on game days
• Manage Tourists Kid’s Club
